Women's Heart Symposium 2023

Thank you to all those who joined us at our 10th Annual Women’s Heart Symposium on February 4th, both in-person and online - the event was a tremendous success! We also want to thank our keynote speaker, Dr. Dipti Itchhaporia, all of our speakers, volunteers, in-kind donors, sponsors, exhibitors, financial donors, and everyone working behind the scenes to make this event possible. Not only was the day filled with informative talks and stimulating panels, but we had so much fun during our anniversary celebration!

We had bubbles, treats and raffles abound, and we were so honored to have Santa Monica Mayor Pro Tempore, Lana Negrete, present a special proclamation, making February "Women’s Heart Health Month" in Santa Monica, CA. The proclamation was made official just yesterday, on Valentine’s Day, at the Santa Monica city council meeting.

We were also thrilled to present Project Angel Food with a donation to help further their mission of preparing and delivering healthy meals to feed people impacted by serious illness. This past summer, when a grant that they had to supply meals to congestive heart failure patients in need throughout the Los Angeles community ran out, we were able to donate, and they were able to continue their programming to keep these people healthy and out of the hospital. Project Angel Food is a wonderful organization and were so proud to be able to partner with them again and make another donation at the Symposium.

KEYNOTE

Dipti Itchhaporia, MD, FACC

We were honored to have Past President of the American College of Cardiology, Dipti Itchhaporia, MD, FACC as our keynote speaker at the 10th Annual Women’s Heart Symposium.

Itchhaporia, an interventional cardiologist, is the Eric and Sheila Samson Endowed Chair in Cardiovascular Health, director of disease management for Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute, and associate professor at the University of California, Irvine, School of Medicine.
